Be Flamazing!

Happy Monday, Sweet Peeps!  It's been flamazing in my little neck of the world lately.  Schools out and that means my number one is home for the summer--good for this momma's heart!  My second child graduated from high school and bought her first car --all in the span of two days!!  Yikes!!

In a busy life, one of my greatest sources of relaxation and restoration is creating with goodies from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps.  June's release is super fantastic--I cannot get enough of the Be A Flamingo stamp set.

I created a resist by heat embossing the background piece and using various Brusho inks.  I love the way it turned out--Brusho's are finicky (or maybe its my skill level) but I love that in some ways. Life is often unexpected and you have to deal with what you've got--right?  You just never quite know until you get there!  I doubt I could recreate this background again, but--that's part of the fun of art--of each piece, every one is unique!  Just like us!

For my second card, I created a background of leaves and flowers, again, using Versamark Ink.  Using my new Lovely Words die (recently retired from Stampin' Up!), I created  a die cut window to show off that fancy bird again!  I love her.  Inked in white or black, she makes a statement--Be Flamazing!!

Have a great day!! Make it Flamazing--Jane

Wishing You Happiness

Happy Thursday, Sweet Friends!  I had fun creating this flowery resist card with some goodies from my Sweet 'N Sassy Stamp stash!  I actually do own lots of other stamps, but find that I mostly use SNSS because the images are just so inspiring.  I should really challenge myself to use a variety of goodies!

I created a resist by masking and stamping several images from Scribble Flowers:
and Whimsy Bouquet:
After stamping with versa mark, I heat embossed the images using white emboss powder.  Later, I water colored using several distress inks (Fossilized Amber, Festive Berries and and Pine Needles).

I added the sentiment from the So Happy to finish things off.  I love how bold the sentiment is--just pops right off the card!

Because He Lives....

Happy Tuesday, Sweet Friends!  Sooner or later, the spring will come--don't you think?  I can just about see it...flowers and butterflies and birds all around....

For my first card, I started with a piece of glossy card stock.  Using Whimsy Bouquet, I randomly stamped and embossed several images from the set.  I colored the panel using a dauber and Ranger Distress Oxide inks.  I am really diggin' those inks and all the beautiful vibrant colors. I added a sentiment from Timeless Hymns and one of the butterflies from New Creature to finish things off.

For my second card, I used an emboss resist technique along with some color burst powders.  I love how the background turned out with all the color layers.  All of the feathers, from His Wings, are embossed.  When everything was cooled and dry, I used the script image from Texture Tiles 1 (yours FREE with a $75 purchase!) to add some extra interest.

I created the sentiment strip using Timeless Hymns and His Wings.  Hurry, you only have a few more days to make this great FREE set yours!
