Before I Bring My Need......

Hello, Sweet Friends!!  I'm one week post a chemotherapy treatment and I wanted to pop in to update and share some art!

My amazing God is doing a great work in me!!  Daily He heals me body, mind and spirit.  He has given me an amazing peace and spirit of gratitude that I rest in despite the trial my body is enduring.

The trial is not being wasted, however!!  Prior to my chemo treatment last week, my doctor reported that all of my blood levels were fantastic--I even got a "hot diggity" from the nurse!  My doctor also said if he did not know the location of my tumors, he'd not have been able to feel them!  After just one treatment!!  Praise our Amazing God and Father with me, won't you?

I feel like the most spoiled human on the planet.  Daily I am being ministered to people I know personally, some who I know only online and by my God who loves me without measure!  He seems to show me some way, each day, how much He loves me and how much other's do too!

I've been dwelling on the song "First" by Lauren Daigle all week.  It's the inspiration for the card, I'm sharing also.  I often wake with the verses playing a loop in my noodle.  I love it!

"Before I speak my need, I will bring my heart"
This is how we are supposed to pray, y'all!

I created my card using an image from I am Loved by Sweet 'N Sassy stamps.   I have to admit, I was dwelling on a retreat stamp set that was created for use in an upcoming retreat that I'm not able to participate in.   I may have been feeling a bit envious of this beautiful set and the sister who are getting to use it. (shhh....)  Then I remembered, that I already own a great set with a similar image to what I was looking for and, BOOM! I was back in business!

I stamped the praising girl image multiple times and then heat embossed each one.  I also heat embossed the sentiment which I created using a sentiment from I am Loved and one from Incredibly Blessed (didn't I just say both of those things??)  I used several different layers of brusho pigments to create the colorful background.

Just a few other goodies and cardstock, all from Stampin' Up!

Remember, my offer to pray for you still stands; let me know how I can do that!

Be blessed, Jane

Shelter Under HIs Wings

Today is chemo day, Sweet Friends.  Will you take a moment to pray over me?  As always, it is the hand of God who sustains me, but I also knows He hears our prayers:

Psalm 34: 17  "When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles."

I am believing on God for full healing and, yet He so desires to hear from me (and you) while I pass through this current trouble.  He sustains me in the most amazing ways, and you are part of that.  I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I often hear from others of their own struggles and I'm compelled to pray for them also. My heart is burdened for many.  Sometimes, I fear I will miss a prayer or remembrance with so many needs and hurting people around me.  I made this little prayer box to help me.

It all started with a small mint tin that I decorated with some washi tape and patterned paper + stamps--always my favorite combination!  To decorate the tin and the cards that I made, I used several sets from Sweet N Sassy Stamps.  Those sets are:  the September release,  Armor of God , and  His Wings, Brotherly Love, Girl Power and Mini Grunge Alpha.

It's just a mint tin, but who knew?  A great way to re-purpose what others might consider garbage.  I've created a small card which fits inside the tiny tin, but has plenty of space to record my specific prayer requests for those I am praying over.  I keep it right next to my bed and can go through each card at night or first thing in the morning.  Most prayers are never far from my lips, but I also like the tangible visual reminder.

I'm happy to pray for you too!  Just say the word--

Blessings, Jane

Armor of God

Ephesians 6  Starting in verse 10:  Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.....

Keep reading my friends!!!  Such a rich word picture that is created for us and practical advice on exactly how we are to arm ourselves for the very real battles happening in this fallen world.

I was so excited to receive my Armor of God set from Sweet N Sassy Stamps September release, I couldn't wait to use it in my bullet journal.

It's the perfect addition to my journal and helps to keep me strong and focused on the promises of God!  I'm using this journal to track my journey through cancer.  I can attest to the attacks of the evil one--he seems to go after my spirit and mood daily, but I continue to arm myself and enjoy a peace in the midst of this storm that can only be from my God.

I'm standing firm, are you?  As I said in an earlier post, if I say I will pray for you, I will.  If you are in need of prayer this day, please feel free to leave your request in my comment area.  I would consider it an honor to pray for you.

Because He Lives, Jane
