Over the weekend, I had a little time to play in my Studio.....I was inspired by sweet Ms. Della and her happing pinning fingers over on Pinterest. A few new pins added recently were of some of my favorite Rick St. Dennis images. You can check them out here! Which, of course, got me thinking about the RSD images I own......
Despite Halloween being several months out yet, I decided to use this adorable little Costume Bear! Combined with the right sentiment, it's an extremely versatile image! You'll find the "dare to be different" sentiment right here.
My background piece is a simple resist using distress markers and a pearlized spray--fun and just the right amount of color and pop! I colored the image using distress markers, also. That's not something I usually do--being such a fan of my alcohol markers. I like the different look the distress markers create. Guess it's a good idea to step outside of the box every once in awhile :)

I just adore this image from Unity Stamp Co.! The sentiment is even better!
I stamped the image on water color paper twice and colored each with distress inks and my aqua brush. The second image, I only colored the umbrella, though! After all color was added, I trimmed the umbrella piece from the second stamping and added it to the main image with pop dots. It's hard to see the dimension in the picture, but trust me when I say, it's all poppy!
To finish things off, I added a doily from Stampin' Up and some sequins!
If this sentiment were a song, I'd finally have found my theme song!

Happy Monday! Today, I have two cards to share.....both use the same technique and each features images from two of my most favorite stamp companies (I have just a few!)!
The first, above, features a great image from I Brake for Stamps! It comes from a sheet called "Come Fly With Me." It's a great stamp sheet full of whimsical images! You can SEE IT HERE! If you decide you'll be needing it......which you will.....you can use my coupon code SAVE10JANE when you check out!
The second card, features the Aged Text Boards technique also! You can find more information about this fun technique by visiting Technique Junkies Home Page. It's located in the April/May 2014 edition! This card also features some fun images from Technique Junkie Stamps!
Don't wait any longer....go, get inky!
