The Funnest Birthday Ever.....
It's just around the corner! This fourth of July I am looking forward to a great summer time family gathering! We have eight summer birthdays to celebrate......I think it's going to be a good time!
Of course, we'll gather to celebrate our independence....our freedom, fought and bought by the courage and sacrafice of so many! I'm grateful for the service members of long ago, those whose lives have been laid down and those who continue to serve with pride!
Patriotic Emily Ann is always my go to image for the Fourth of July! You can find her in the I Brake For Stamps store, right here. Take a look see around while you're there....who knows what goodies you'll find!? Be sure to use my coupon code: SAVE10JANE
Emily Ann and her pup are colored with Copic markers and then trimmed. I was goofing around with distress inks and an embossing folder to create my background. It was a bit of an experiment using salty ocean and firebrick red.....I really like the muted look I've achieved....I think it makes a nice backdrop for such a cute girl :)
Have a great week and holiday.....rest....weekend....enjoy!

Summer Fun
So....at this stage of my game, I'm not sure donning a swim suit would actually qualify as fun, but I do love to swim so, I guess there's a trade off?
What IS fun is this new sheet of images from I Brake For Stamps! I particularly like this little momma skippin' out to the waves! After coloring her with Copic markers, I trimmed the image using an Out of the Box technique and a circle die. My background was really just a goofin' around with some new Dylusions sprays. My sweet in-laws gave me a Hobby Lobby giftcard for my recent birthday.....so, I did some crafty shopping---JOY! My background uses Lemon Zest, Cut Grass and Bubblegum sprays. I have tons of other mists and sprays because I got on EVERY bandwagon like the rest of you. But, these are my favorite and go to sprays, for sure!
Keep in mind, when you visit the I Brake For Stamps store, you can use my coupon code SAVE10JANE to save a little cha ching! Have a great day!!

Buy The Shoes......
Happy Monday!!
I'm coming off a wonderful birthday/Father's Day weekend! We celebrated and adventured!! So much fun!
I did, in fact, buy a wonderful pair of stone studded sandals on one of our adventures.....which toally inspired this card! You will find all of the stamps use here on this fashion half sheet! My card was a little experiment with awesome images and a few new tools, like my sewing machine and tag topper punch.
What have you experimented with lately??
If you'd like to give these images a try, you can use my coupon code (SAVE10JANE) at the I Brake For Stamps store! Be sure to say "haaaaayyyyyy" to the lovely sweet Ms. Della :)

Purple Giraffe--That's You!
The Purple Giraffe knows who she is and already has this hanging in her house. It's a smaller (6x6) canvas that I made for the bestest girl ever's birthday. Ever have a friend who just constantly amazes you? This is my girl.
The minute I saw Donna's Poppy Background at Unity Stamps, I knew I would use it for this purpose! To complete the canvas, I also used Chicken Wire Background and a sentiment from the always useful, Empowered Words.
I love it when an idea works out even better than I thought!

Ahoy!
Happy Monday! Today, I have an always challenging masculine card to share! Masculine cards are all about the images. Am I right? Afterall, there is just no way to "man up" some flowers. This wonderful ship image is from this sheet, called Always Time For Friendship, from I Brake For Stamps.
I cut my cardfront on an angle for a bit of added interest. Additional images from the same sheet were added to the inside of the card, as well. The image piece was stamped with distress ink and then misted with water. This created a vintagey watercolored effect.
I sure hope my Poppa likes it :)
