My newest gig for this year is becoming a Design Team member for Sweet N Sassy Stamps!! I couldn't be more thrilled to hang out with such a talented group of people and niiiccceee! I tell ya!
Today is release day! Did I already mention that? You can head on over to the SNSS blog to get a full view of the release.
My first project was a beautiful accident/experiment. I sometimes play silly little games, in my head, with myself. After playing around with some Dylusions sprays (I stamped and masked the tower first) I decided to see if I could use every single image from the new Parisian Postcard set.
Isn't this just a gorgeous set?? I agree! Once I started I couldn't stop and ended up in love with the collagey background I created. On another piece of sprayed cardstock, I stamped and trimmed the three butterflies. A bit of stitching plus a sentiment strip that features a sentiment from the Be Encouraged set--wahla!
With Valentine's Day just around the corner, the Sweet Perks Club this month includes an addition to the You and Me family....dies!
Fun right? Every time I pick my favorite, it changes!!
A bit non-tradition for a Valentine card (colors) but that IS how I roll! A little design tip: you can create on theme background paper that is subtle just like I have! Using tone on tone, I took three sentiments from the You and Me set and stagger stamped them end to end to fill up the entire cardstock. It's subtle, but I like the "layers" of meaning and design it adds.
Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team and SNSS blog for more inspiration and information!
TTFN, Jane

ReplyDeleteLove the background of the Eifel Tower and the humor of the 2nd.
ReplyDeleteJane, when I saw the thumbnail image of your Eiffel Tower card on the SNSS blog, my initial reaction was, "WOW!" The bright colors are sure different, & I think you did a great job creating your collage look. Love your Valentine's card, too. I think a Valentine's card that is not red, pink, & white is a good thing! Thanks so much for sharing these. I look forward to seeing more of your designs in the coming months!
