Happy Monday, Friends!! Welcome back to my blog and another Monday with I Brake For Stamps! I'm happy you stopped by!
I am totally in love with this Large Unicorn image from I Brake For Stamps. Here, in Bosiville, we have a love/love relationship with the unicorn......you may remember this shirt I created with the same image this summer. What a great day that was! You can make your own uni shirt with the digital image available in the IBFS store. You. Are. Welcome.
I water colored some broken china distress ink
on a piece of water color paper to start. When that was completely
dry, I added some 2-way glue and glitter......what's a rainbow colored
unicorn without glitter, afterall? It's so sparkly in real life!
I stamped the unicorn, also on water color paper, and used various distress inks and my aqua brush to color it in. As a side note, I was watching Friends while I was coloring.....it was
the episode where Fun Aunt Rachel teaches little Ben practical jokes and
cuss words.....LOL!! I only mention this to relate the therapeutic
value of coloring......not only is it a great stress reliever, it's also
great for improving your memory! On a normal, non-coloring day, I can
scarcely remember my name......
To finish things off, I added the Dare to be Different sentiment....because...you know......unicorns.
I dare you....be different. Be Awesome! Jane

Ain't Nothin' But A House Party.....
Celebrating two of the most fabulous people I know! Full of rainbows and unicorns, good friends, good food, games AND a pinata!
Happy Monday, Friends! It's coming up on birthday time for two pretty cool peeps--you'll know who they are because they are both wearing my fabulous handmade unicorn t-shirts!! We had a super time celebrating the birthdays of two special people--my daughter, Number 3, and one of the best guys I know, our friend Joe. The two of them dreamed up the idea a year ago and this year, it happened! It was a blast!
I tried my hand at rainbow layered jello----good gravy! They are tasty and for me, that is huge as I don't particularly find jello to be actual food. Putsy, but ultimately, worth it! This is the recipe I used from MustHaveMom.
Joe's daughter made the most amazing cupcakes and rainbow cake--she's a budding little master baker!
The rainbow theme is an important one for our little band of warriors because it reminds us of God's covenant with His people (See Genesis 9:13)....A promise that He is near and for us (See Romans 8:31). We've experienced much in this life we have been given and find great reward in fellowship with one another.....I just love them all!
My creative little birthday buds came up with a bunch of games, like Unicorn Ring Toss and Pin the Horn on the Unicorn.....and, of course....a pinata!
Yes, it's a little makeshift, but it worked!
I'm pretty proud of the t-shirts, but never could have pulled them off without the loving help I always find at I Brake For Stamps! The unicorn image is a stamp available in two sizes. I own the Large stamp and think it's a great image. So, when I wanted to make the t-shirts that is the image I wanted to use. And my good fortune can also be yours!!! The exact digital image I used is available HERE at I Brake For Stamps!
Here's a closer up of the shirt:
If you want to make one of your own, I have more detailed directions posted on the I Brake For Stamps blog. You can see that HERE.
Have a great day and don't forget to be awesome!

Happy, Bright, You!
Good Monday Morning!!! Welcome to my weekly I Brake For Stamps share! I'm glad to be back on this fabulously sunny day and hoping that it finds you also ready to take on the day!
The last few weeks have been super super busy with kids and other life activities--I've had little time for creating. Yesterday, I found myself with a few moments and all I really could muster was some coloring! I think my Unicorn, really rocks that coloring though, don't you?
One of my daughters is absolutely obsessed with unicorns. When I saw this Unicorn image, from I Brake For Stamps, I had to have it! Isn't this just the BEST image? I chose the Larger image---there is a small one, too---because I thought it would be perfect for birthday invitations--it also works great for when you just want to color! ;)
I always am a bit uncertain with such a straight forward card.....must be those years of layers, gadgets, fancy cuts, embellishments and more! I simply stamped with Memento black ink, colored with copics and added a layer of Stickles glitter glue....what would a unicorn be without glittery rainbow hair? Just a horse with a horn, I'm afraid! Speaking of horns, I added a layer or two of crystal effects to the horn to give it some dimension.
Finally, I added THE PERFECT sentiment, also from I Brake For Stamps, from the Fashionista Half Sheet. You know I just love the message! When you stop over at the IBFS store, say "Haaaayyyyyyyy" to sweet Ms. Della and use my coupon code to SAVE10JANE :)
Go ahead.....Shine, be you!
Don't forget to be awesome!
