Happy Saturday, Friends!  I created this colorful journal page for this month's Anything But A Card theme.  I am excited to see everyone's creations and glad that you are along for the ride!

My journal page features images from Slow Bloom Society and Tree of Love (butterfly) along with the stitched heart die cut.  I used a simple water color technique using the small distress ink spots direct to paper and then misting for a slow and colorful water blending.  

As a final touch, I added some gold sparkles around the heart and spritz on to the main image.

Friends of Unity Blog Hop-August 2026

 

Happy Saturday!  I am so glad to be back participating in the Friends of Unity Blog Hop this month.  Our theme is Grunge, which I also call Shabby Chic.  This is one of my favorite styles.  I'm the second stop on the hop--you should have arrived here from Crystal's blog.

My first card features a floral image from Chapters & Crossings (KOM 3/25) as well as elements from an old Layers of Life set, Devotion and Faith (July 2015) and Painted Punchinella Background stamp.  The cool thing about the grunge style is that it is messy and fluid.  Anything goes--more texture, more blending, subtle details building into something beautiful.

I had an extra floral image trimmed and colored, but shifted directions to create this little ATC using a playing card as my base.

Finally, I used Gentle Hours for my last card.

I used the Ommmm. My Gosh set for my card.  That little lady is just so cute! I don’t yoga or Ommmm in real life 😂 but on a cute card of encouragement, for sure!

Friends of Unity Hop 2026!

Happy New Year!! It’s time for another Friends of Unity Blog hop!  Our theme this month is “case’d” and gives us a great opportunity to compliment others by coping their style!  My cased cards copy the style of Shilo Miles.  She is so stinkin’ talented—I love everything she makes!

My first card features Cassette Tape Tunes and a sentiment from Darling Donkey Smiles.

Card 2 features stamps from Puppy Paws along with papers from the 6 x 6 Pup-Pup paper pack.

My final card features an image from the March ‘25 KOM Chapters & Crossings.
