Well, it's been a bit of a whirl wind lately. Many things going on in my world. Some good. Some stressful. Some down right yucky. I'm always grateful for my creative time. And, the people, places and things which surround me that remind me there is good in this world, the preaching of the Word that reminds me without a doubt that I am loved, forgiven and free!
I created this journal page on a Sunday afternoon after singing praises and being fed at church in the morning. It came after a week of some pretty icky stuff, a week that left me feeling like the world around me was crumbling. But, holy and worthy is He. Revelation 5:11-13. Something we all can cling to.
I used several stamp sets from Sweet N Sassy Stamps. You can find them in the SNSS store {and a bunch of other super good stuff!} They've been closed for a bit due to a move, but are set to reopen this week!! I'm excited!! Sets I used are: Sing Loud, Send Me and Mini Grunge Alpha.
Thanks for popping by :) Go, be awesome! Jane

All About You....
Happy Sunday! Today, I'm sharing a colorful card that also features a new goodie from Sweet N Sassy Stamps, All About You. It's the perfect sentiment set for all of those just because cards--jut the right thing to say!
To create my colorful background, I applied several distress inks to a stencil, spritz with water to create the first imprint. Then, I used the stencil in the traditional way to add more color. It gives the panel a water color look. Give it a try!

Girl Power
I love all of my Unity girls so much!! I wanted to make a set of cards to give as a gift that was all about supporting and encouraging others. I feel like I need that on a regular basis so, why not others? It's too easy to criticize others; I think we should look for opportunities to encourage and support.
I got out my unity girls (most of these are images by Suzi Blu--my favorite!) and made these cards....also, got to play with some of my new OXIDE inks from Ranger. I resisted for as long as I could and then caved in! They are awesome!
I used a variety of images from Unity--check them all out HERE! Also, used one of my most favorite sentiment sets, Empowered Words.
Enjoy! Be Awesome! Jane

Focus
Focus on the good.....such a simple message, yet so easy to
overlook! There's some big stuff going down in my world right now. If
I'm not careful, I can make myself a little Satan target. He just lies
in wait for me to start doubting, to be sad, to get negative.....and,
BAM!! In the pit I go. Those automatic negative thoughts can just rule the day...if I'm not careful....
The good news is........there is Good News!! Focus on the good! I absolutely adore Rebecca Rios' designs, found over at Sweet N Sassy stamps. Designed for bible journaling, they are so versatile and make great eveyday cards for encouragement. Just from her stamp sets alone, I imagine her to be one of my best friends, full of positive light and an awesome sense of humor and fun! I used her set called Capture This Moment for this quick and fun card. I might be stuck in a water coloring rut, but its a good place to be stuck! I hope you enjoy this fun card and reminder to focus on the good....you may have to look harder at times, but I guarrantee it---it is there!!!

Wisdom, Anyone?
James 1: 5-6 and 12
DOUBT. I don't know about you, but doubt has been a familiar battle for me. Doubt, worry....it's all wrapped up in my confidence--or, lack thereof. I was going to say "a constant battle" but I'm realizing that, THAT is no longer true for me. In my faith journey, I've learned some things. Nothing has been more important that realizing I AM LOVED. And, from this, a faith that grows and remains steadfast.
There are trials coming my way. I feel it. I know it. I'm being prepared for it. I'm preparing for it.
James is a great book. If you haven't been there, go. Ask in faith.
I was anxious to use the Living Water set from Sweet N Sassy stamps. Also, from Sweet 'N Sassy: Words of Life, Common Words 1; All Your Heart; and Choose Faith.
Count it all joy, my friends....
Be awesome--Jane
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.
12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

Fill Me Up...
Happy Monday!! I finally completed this little one sheet mini album I've been working on! Now, it's time to fill IT up! I used a brand new stamp set, Exclamations, from Sweet N Sassy Stamps to decorate the pages. It's a prayerful theme--I thought I would use it to record my prayers, praises and pleadings, for my five blessings!
With the oldest on the verge of high school graduation, I've been reflective lately about how quickly time goes by. I didn't believe it that day, in the nursery, when the nurse said "cherish every moment....they will be over too soon!" And, in just the blink of an eye.....here we are!!
Times change, seasons change, but a mother's prayers.....they remain. I love this new little stamp set, and thought it was the perfect thing to use to create this little book.
I used a few other great Sweet N Sassy Stamp sets to complete this fun book: Note This and Capture This Moment--check them out!
The album ends up measuring 3x3 and starts with just one 12x12 piece of designer paper. I'd recommend a thinner paper to start with as you will double the paper up as you fold to create the pages. If you are interested in making your own, here's a tutorial I wrote years ago!
Enjoy!

A place to record my own thoughts--thoughts just between me and my Savior....
To jot down what's important--with a little pull out page for some of my ideas!
Never forget to praise Him for all that he has done and provided!
A little pocket page....a picture, some notes?
Pay Attention to This!! Another pull out page.
Click! Click! The final pull out with a picture of my big babies!
Lots of great moments to reflect on!
Never forget, He SHOWED up--He always SHOWS up!
