Shelter Under HIs Wings

Today is chemo day, Sweet Friends.  Will you take a moment to pray over me?  As always, it is the hand of God who sustains me, but I also knows He hears our prayers:

Psalm 34: 17  "When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles."

I am believing on God for full healing and, yet He so desires to hear from me (and you) while I pass through this current trouble.  He sustains me in the most amazing ways, and you are part of that.  I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I often hear from others of their own struggles and I'm compelled to pray for them also. My heart is burdened for many.  Sometimes, I fear I will miss a prayer or remembrance with so many needs and hurting people around me.  I made this little prayer box to help me.

It all started with a small mint tin that I decorated with some washi tape and patterned paper + stamps--always my favorite combination!  To decorate the tin and the cards that I made, I used several sets from Sweet N Sassy Stamps.  Those sets are:  the September release,  Armor of God , and  His Wings, Brotherly Love, Girl Power and Mini Grunge Alpha.

It's just a mint tin, but who knew?  A great way to re-purpose what others might consider garbage.  I've created a small card which fits inside the tiny tin, but has plenty of space to record my specific prayer requests for those I am praying over.  I keep it right next to my bed and can go through each card at night or first thing in the morning.  Most prayers are never far from my lips, but I also like the tangible visual reminder.

I'm happy to pray for you too!  Just say the word--

Blessings, Jane

Bloom

Happy Tuesday, Friends!!  Today, I have a mixed media canvas to share.  It was so much fun to make--and, pretty simple, too!

I started with a 3 x 3 canvas, a stencil and some embossing paste.  While still wet, I sprayed the embossing paste with a variety of Dylusion sprays,  I let that dry completely (several days).  Next, I added several of the images found in the Sweet N Sassy Stamps Refresh My Soul stamp set.  I stamped on a heavy weight cardstock and heat embossed each image.  Rather than coloring the images (the background was already super colorful), I added just a bit of glitter glue to the containers and cacti blooms.

A few sequins and "Bloom" (from the same set) finish things off.  The perfect give for a plant loving friend of mine!!

Merry Kiss-mas!

I first saw this fun little lip balm project on the My Favorite Things blog and was obsessed until I finally just broke down and got m'self a little giftie.  I made these for all of my girls recently and the project did not disappoint at all--so. much. fun!

Just a few little goodies:

I found mine in a cute little stamping/scrapbooking store in the town where #One goes to college.....if I have to leave him there, I feel like there should be a bright spot or two (you know, more than just his whole future!  lol).

Snowman Soup Giftie

It's getting to be that time of year....gifting season!  One of my favorite sets over at Sweet N Sassy Stamps has always been Snowman Soup!  It is perfect for all things paper-cards, scrap book pages and sweet little gift packaging like this tote I crafted!

Inside the tote, are two little pockets just big enough for some cocoa and mini marshmallows.  Who wouldn't want a little something special like this?

I finished the backside with a sentiment from Christmas Tag Sentiments.  It's so cute....I can't wait to give it away!

Be Cozy--and Awesome!

Celebrate!

A couple hundred years ago the Pampered Chef safety can opener was a mainstay of many crafting rooms, mine included.  Not too long ago, I pulled that baby out and was inspired to create this fun decorated can as birthday gift for a friend.

After cutting off the bottom of a pop top can, you can get some nice goodies inside!

I used Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps' new Fly High Clear Stamp Set to decorate this one....I say this one, because it's a little addicting......who's having a birthday next???  LOL!

Have a great day and be awesome!  Jane
