Today, I'm wishing my momma a very happy birthday and sharing a card I made just for her! This card features a beautiful stamp set from Rubbernecker that I haven't played with in years. I'm not even sure it is still available for sale. It's one of the watercolor sets--stamps that make it look like you've painted, my favorite!
The sentiment is also part of this set. I'm trying really hard not to be nitpicky about the fact that it's a little crooked. That's the part that makes it hand made, right?? I think she'll like it just the same.
Don't be afraid to be a little off--it makes life fun!

Celebrate!
A couple hundred years ago the Pampered Chef safety can opener was a mainstay of many crafting rooms, mine included. Not too long ago, I pulled that baby out and was inspired to create this fun decorated can as birthday gift for a friend.
After cutting off the bottom of a pop top can, you can get some nice goodies inside!
I used Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps' new Fly High Clear Stamp Set to decorate this one....I say this one, because it's a little addicting......who's having a birthday next??? LOL!
Have a great day and be awesome! Jane

More Than You See....
Happy Monday, Friends!
I like to try out all different kinds of projects: mixed media canvas' of various sizes (although the 3x3 canvas' are my favorite!), 3D projects (I've got a cool one coming up this week!), cards, and today, I've got a few ATC (artist trading cards) to share.
A friend at work inspired me to try these again. She's super crafty and runs creative expression groups with our kids at work. This is the perfect format for art therapy/group projects--especially for people who haven't had much art exposure. The small size makes the project doable and not very intimidating at all.
Both cards feature stamps from Unity Stamp Company--one of my favorites!
On the top card, I created a colorful background using distress inks, a stencil and a floral image. For me, the ATC is a great way to feature a sentiment--so, I used my favorite (and, the one that inspired my blog name) I Am More.
The second ATC features a beautiful angelic image called, Chickadee and Me by Suzi Blu. I paired it with a sentiment from one of my all time favorite go to sets for impactful words--Empowered Words.
Have a great day...believe that you can!

I miss you....
Happy Monday, Friends!
I missed you last week! I am now in busy season as baseball has begun!!! Three of my kiddos are playing this season--it's my big guy's last year and I'm hoping it will be a good one....I'm not quite sure yet how it is that I have a senior in my house, but it's true and that means---lots going on here, both inside and out!!
I created this card using one of Sweet N Sassy Stamp's brand new sets, called Mason Jar Bouquet. It's a beautiful set and lots of fun to play with! I wanted to feature the beautiful rose image so, I started by creating a colorful background piece. I used a technique that applies distress inks to water color paper using a piece of acetate. You begin by inking the acetate and then spritzing with water. Next, smoosh the ink on to the water color paper. I like the control this technique offers as you can pick up the acetate and reapply to create the effect you want. I'm sure there is some fancy name for this technique, I just don't know it :)
Both the flower and the sentiment can be found in the Mason Jar set. It's beautiful:
That's all for now---thanks for stopping by!
